The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office would like to let the public know how the Mercer University Commencement will affect traffic on Monday.
TRAFFIC: Traffic will be affected from 7:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Motorists are urged to take an alternate route other than Mercer University Drive into downtown Macon. If possible, please utilize inner city/county streets to keep I-75 traffic to a mininal.
Families will be flowing into this area to see their loved ones graduate. Bibb County deputies will be working jointly with the Mercer Police Department in attempts to keep traffic flowing as quickly as possible.
