A suspect that was wanted in connection with an Aggravated Assault investigation is now in custody. The original incident occurred August 14, 2021, on Lilly Avenue.

Bibb County Sheriff’s Office investigators identified the suspect in connection with this investigation, and had warrants issued for the arrest of 18-year-old Garrolas Jermaine Hunter Jr.

On August 21, 2021, Hunter turned himself over to Bibb County Sheriff’s investigators. Hunter is currently in the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center for the charge of Aggravated Assault. He is being held, without bond.

Asking for Public’s Assistance in Locating Wanted  Person in Aggravated Assault Investigation 

Bibb County Sheriff’s Office investigators are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a suspect wanted in the Aggravated Assault of 37-year-old Cedric Grayer, of Macon. The incident occurred on August 14, 2021, on Lilly Avenue. 

Investigators have identified the suspect as 18-year-old Garrolas Jermaine Hunter Jr, of Macon. Warrants for Aggravated Assault have been issued for Hunter.  Hunter is known to frequent the Unionville area.

Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Investigating Person Shot

Bibb County Sheriff’s Office investigators are investigating a shooting incident that occurred outside a home, located in the 200 block of Lilly Ave, just after 5:30pm. 

It was reported that  two men were involved in a verbal altercation that resulted in one of the men being shot. The victim, 37-year-old Cedric Grayer, was transported to the hospital by ambulance. He is listed in critical condition. Investigators are currently interviewing witnesses in this incident.

The circumstances surrounding this incident are being investigated.
