The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide that was reported to have occurred at 2590 Rocky Creek Road, Majestic Gardens Apartments just after 7:00 p.m.
It was reported that 16-year-old Amerie Searcy, of Macon, was walking in the parking lot of Majestic Garden Apartments when an unknown subject began shooting. Searcy was struck once during the incident. Searcy was pronounced deceased on the scene by the Bibb County Coroner’s Office. No one else was injured during the incident. There is no information on the suspect at this time.
