The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide that happened in the 1200 block of Rice Place just after 7:00 p.m.
It was reported that a male was shot in a vehicle on Rice Place just after 7:00 p.m. When deputies arrived they found a 44-year-old male, from Macon, victim in the vehicle with a gunshot wound to the upper body.
The victim was transported to the Atrium Health Navicent and was pronounced deceased by hospital personnel. No one else was injured during the incident. Next of kin has not been notified at this time.
