The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting that took place in the 3800 block of Middleton Avenue. The incident occurred at around 8:24 p.m. Friday night.
It was reported that 23-year-old Jayme Divine Johnson died as a result of a gunshot wound. Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators are continuing to investigate this incident in an attempt to determine the events surrounding this case. It was reported that an anonymous caller, called this incident into the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Call Center.
No one else was injured during this incident.
The next of kin has been notified by the Coroner’s office. Additional information will be released as soon as it becomes available.
