The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a double homicide that took place inside of a boarding house, located at 925 McCall Road. The incident was called into the Macon-Bibb 911 Center at around 8:00 p.m.
When deputies arrived on the scene, they discovered a deceased male and female inside of the house. A third individual was also found inside of the house. She was seriously injured.
According to the investigators, the assailant broke the window of a rear door of the residence and made entry. Three victims who lived at the residence were bludgeoned with a sharp object.
Bibb Sheriff’s investigators have a person of interest in connection with this investigation. A former tenant of the residence, 51-year-old Ronald Green Jr. is wanted for questioning. He is described a black male. He is 5 feet 7 inches in height and weighs approximately 190 lbs. A photograph of Green is attached to this media release.
The owner of the residence, 73-year-old Chester John Novak is reported missing. Investigators are asking for the public’s assistance in helping locate Mr. Novak. It is undetermined if Mr. Novak was at the residence during the time of the incident. Bibb Sheriff’s investigators want to locate Mr. Novak to ensure his safety. Anyone with information of his whereabouts are urged to contact the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office. A photograph of Mr. Novak is attached to this media release.
The injured female was transported to the Navicent by ambulance and is listed to be in critical condition. The names of the deceased cannot be released at this time, until the next of kin has been notified. The name of the injured female also will not be released at this time.
