The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a Homicide that was reported to have occurred at the Reliance Food Mart located at 3590 Napier Avenue at around 12:00 a.m. Wednesday.
It was reported that a 46-year-old male was fatally wounded by gunfire while sitting in his vehicle located in the parking lot. The victim was pronounced deceased on the scene by the Bibb County Coroner’s Office. The identity of the victim cannot be given at this time because the next of kin has not been notified.
It was also reported that a 21-year-old female was wounded by gunfire as she sat in her vehicle. This individual was transported by ambulance to Atrium Health Navicent, and is in critical condition.
Another male individual, who was wounded by gunfire during the incident, left the scene before deputies arrived. This individual was taken by personal vehicle to the Coliseum Hospital, and is in stable condition. The identity of the suspects are unknown at this time. This investigation is in its early stages.
