The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a report of a Home Invasion that took place at an apartment at 3871 Northside Drive, Carriage Hills Apartments, just before 10:00PM, Wednesday night. It was reported that the victim, Gary Yu was inside his apartment when he heard a knock on the door. When he answered the door a black male asked if another person, who is the victim’s roommate, was there. Yu told him no, then the male suspect forced his way into the apartment. Yu grabbed a knife in attempts to get the suspect out of his apartment. The suspect began fighting with Yu over the knife. Yu grabbed the knife by the blade at one point and was cut on the right hand.
While Yu and the suspect were fighting, a second suspect entered the apartment and attempted to disconnect an X-Box gaming system from a television. Yu started screaming and the two suspects left the apartment. One of the suspects grabbed another game system before fleeing the apartment.
The first suspect was only described as a black male. Yu was not able to describe the second suspect. He did say both suspects were wearing hoodies over their heads. The wound to Yu’s hand was minor. This incident is currently under investigation.
