Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Deputies arrested a Macon man for possession of a firearm by a felon. Just after 5:30 p.m., on August 23, 2019, deputies were conducting traffic enforcement on I-475 north near Zebulon Road. Deputies witnessed a Chevy Malibu make several lane changes without signaling.
Deputies conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and made contact with the driver, 35-year-old Brandon Elijah Houser, of Macon. Deputies deployed K-9 Stormi to do a free air search around the vehicle. Stormi alerted deputies that there were narcotics in the vehicle. Deputies detained Houser and searched the vehicle locating a FNH Five-Seven handgun and a bag with marijuana residue in it. It was determined that Houser was a convicted felon.
Houser was taken to the Bibb County Jail and charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. He was released on August 25, 2019, on a $5,700.00 bond.
