The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a traffic collision that occurred at 01:47 a.m. on Wimbish Road near Willow Creek Drive.
It was reported that a Honda Accord, driven by a 24-year-old female of Macon, was traveling west on Wimbish Road when it went off the roadway and struck a pole. Both the 24-year-old female driver and her, 40-year-old male, of Macon, passenger were ejected from the vehicle. The 40-year-old male was pronounced deceased on scene by the Coroner’s Office personnel.
The 24-year-old female was transported to the Atrium Health Navicent and is listed in critical condition at this time. No one else was injured during the incident. The next of kin has not been notified at this time.
