The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal traffic collision that occurred just after 11:30 p.m. on July 5, 2023, on Houston Road near Hawkinsville Road.
It was reported that a Nissan Sentra, driven by a 29-year-old male of Macon, was traveling south on Houston Road near Hawkinsville Road when it struck 32-year-old Terry Lynn Crump, of Macon, who was standing in the roadway. Crump was pronounced deceased on the scene by Coroner Leon Jones. The driver of the vehicle was treated and released on scene. No one else was injured during the incident. The next of kin was notified by Coroner Leon Jones.
