The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal traffic collision that occurred just before 9:30 p.m. on Emery Highway at Schaeffer Place.
It was reported a Chevy pickup, driven by a 44-year-old male from Macon, was traveling west in the righthand lane on Emery Highway at Schaeffer Place when it collided with 71-year-old Larry Blash, of Macon. It was reported that Blash stepped into the roadway in front of the pickup. Blash was pronounced deceased on the scene by Deputy Coroner Ronnie Miley. No one else was injured during the incident. The next of kin has been notified at this time by Deputy Coroner Ronnie Miley.
