The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal traffic collision that occurred on Broadway near Spikes Street. The accident was called into the Macon-Bibb E-911 Center at 2:50 p.m., Thursday afternoon.
It was reported that a fifty-three-year-old male of Gray, Georgia was traveling north on Broadway by motorcycle. The motorcyclist struck a vehicle at a stop ahead of him, occupied by a fifty-four-year-old woman from Kathleen, Georgia. The motorcyclist was ejected from his vehicle.
The motorcyclist was pronounced deceased on the scene by Coroner Leon Jones. The name of the motorcyclist will not be released at this time. There were no other injuries reported in the collision.
The traffic collision is currently under investigation. Additional information will be released as soon as it becomes available.
