Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a call of an accident with injury just after 11:00 p.m. Sunday night at the Riverside Drive entrance ramp to I-75 south. It was reported that a 2014 Nissan Altima was traveling in a southbound direction on Riverside Drive and turned left onto the Riverside Drive entrance ramp to  I-75 South, in the 4500 block of Riverside Drive.  The vehicle went off the right shoulder of the ramp and rolled several times. The driver was found lying on the ground outside of the vehicle when deputies arrived at the scene. It was reported earlier that the driver was ejected but it has not been determined if the driver was ejected or if he was able to get himself out of the vehicle after it came to a stop.

The driver was transported to the Navicent Health Hospital for injuries sustained in the accident. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital. The driver was identified as 23 year old Alfred Hazel of Macon. Next of kin was notified by the Bibb County Coroner’s Office.
