The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal traffic accident that occurred on April 14, 2024, on Pio Nono Ave at the intersection of Sherry Dr. The accident was called into the Macon-Bibb E-911 Center at 7:06 p.m.
It was reported that a Chevy Malibu and a motorcycle collided at the intersection. The male driver on the motorcycle was transported to the Atrium Navicent Health for his injuries. The motorcyclist identified as 61-year-old Lorenso Poole, was later pronounced deceased at the hospital just before 10:00 p.m. Sunday. The driver of the vehicle was not injured.
The next of kin has been notified by the coroner’s office.
