The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal traffic accident that occurred on Guy Paine Road near San Carlos Drive. The accident was called into the Macon-Bibb E-911 Center at 1:39 a.m., on October 31, 2023.
When deputies arrived on the scene, they discovered a fifty-nine-year-old male who had succumbed to his injuries. The caller reported while traveling east on Guy Paine Road, an unoccupied Honda Rancher (ATV) was discovered on the side of the road. Also discovered near the Rancher was an injured unresponsive male lying on the road. According to Deputy Coroner Richard Robinson, the male was pronounced deceased on the scene at 2:14 a.m. The next of kin has not been notified. The identity of the deceased will not be released at this time.
No one else was reported injured, nor does it appear that another vehicle was involved. This accident is under investigation. Additional information will be released as soon as it becomes available.
