The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal traffic accident that occurred on Mercer University Drive at Grosso Avenue just after 07:00a.m. Wednesday morning. It was reported that 73year old Theodore Reese Jr of Macon was crossing Mercer University Drive when he was struck by a 2002 Chevy Trailblazer driven by 20year old Chelsie Blevins of Thomaston Georgia. Reese was pronounced dead at the scene. The next of kin was notified by the Bibb County Coroner’s Office.
Mercer University Dr. at Grosso Avenue has been reopened to traffic. No charges have been made at this time as the accident is still under investigation.
