The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal traffic accident that occurred just before 7:30PM tonight. It was reported that a 2003 Harley Davidson motorcycle, driven by 52 year old Christine Waino, of Gray made a left turn onto the westbound lane of Riverside Drive from a northbound direction of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. Waino ran over some debris on Riverside Drive and lost control of her motorcycle, striking a pole and the railroad bridge. Waino was pronounced dead at the scene. The next of kin has been notified by Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones.
The traffic accident is under investigation. Anyone with information in reference to this accident is urged to contact the Bibb Sheriff’s Office at 478-751-7500 and ask to leave a message for the “on-call” accident investigator.
