The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigation a fatal traffic accident that occurred on Pio Nono Avenue near Hartley Street Wednesday morning just before 9:00 a.m. It was reported that a 2002 Kia was traveling northbound on Pio Nono Avenue and collided with a 2006 International 4000 Tow Truck traveling southbound on Pio Nono Avenue. The Tow Truck, driven by Sancho Wynes of Macon, was in the turning lane attempting to turn into Flash Foods when the Kia entered the turning lane striking the truck head-on. The driver of the Kia, 24-year old Estee Williams of Macon, was transported to the Navicent Center where he was pronounced dead.
Traffic Accident Investigators with the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the accident. Anyone with information about the accident is asked to call the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office at 478-751-7500.
