The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal traffic accident that occurred at 7:21am Friday morning, in the 2200 block of Ingleside Avenue.
It was reported that the driver of a 2001 Toyota Camry, 22 year old Alita Foster, of Macon, was traveling north bound on Ingleside Avenue when her vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree. Foster was transported to the Navicent Health Center where she was pronounced dead. The next of kin was notified by Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones.
The accident is currently under investigation. Anyone with information in reference to this accident is urged to contact the Bibb Sheriff’s Office at 478-751-7500 and ask to leave a message for the “on-call” accident investigator.
