The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal single-vehicle traffic accident that took place at 2:45 a.m., Sunday. The accident occurred in the 3600 block of Hartley Bridge Road.
It was reported that the driver of a 2002 Dodge Caravan lost control of the vehicle, left the roadway, and was ejected from the vehicle.
The driver later identified as 44-year-old Carlos Ayala was pronounced deceased at the hospital. According to Coroner Leon Jones, the next of kin has been notified.
This accident is still under investigation.
