The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal single vehicle traffic collision, involving a tractor trailer. The Macon-Bibb 911 Center was notified of the incident at 7:34 a.m. The collision happened on Interstate 16, westbound, near mile marker 4.
It was reported that 47-year-old Clinton Tinsley of Ellabell Georgia, was traveling westbound in a tractor trailer on Interstate 16 when he lost control. The tractor trailer collided with a guard rail and then overturned.
Tinsley was transported to Atrium Health Navicent where he was later pronounced deceased.
According to Coroner Leon Jones, the next of kin has been notified. There were no other injuries during the incident.
