Bibb County Sheriff’s Office deputies are investigating a fatal shooting incident involving two victims, which occurred on October 8, 2021, in the 300 block of Grier Street. The incident took place at 10:57 p.m.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office received a call of a gunshot wound victim that arrived at Piedmont Macon Hospital. According to Coroner Leon Jones, the victim was later pronounced deceased due to the injuries he received.
A second victim, was found unresponsive in the driver seat of a vehicle that crashed into a utility pole on Grier Street. This victim was also fatally wounded from gunfire. Deputy Coroner Ronnie Miley pronounced the victim deceased on the scene.
The names of the victims cannot be released until their next of kin have been notified.
The events that led up to the incident are currently under investigation. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
