The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal pedestrian traffic collision that occurred in the 1200 block of Gray Highway just after 7:30 p.m.
It was reported that a male was walking across Gray Highway near Sanford Drive when he was struck by a vehicle. The pedestrian, 63-year-old Broderick Jerome Linder of Macon, was transported to Atrium Health Navicent, where he was pronounced deceased by staff. The next of kin has been notified.
The vehicle, a Chevy Equinox, was traveling south on Gray Highway. It was driven by a 22-year-old female of Gray. No one else was injured in this incident. This collision is still under investigation.
