The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office along with the Macon-Bibb Animal Welfare Department is investigating a case of Elder Abuse and Animal Cruelty that happened at 951 Perdue Street just after 7:00 pm Wednesday.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office responded to the address in reference to a welfare check for 71 year old Annie Mae Williams.  During the check Deputies noticed a large number of malnourish dogs and feces covering the floor of the home. At this time Ms. Williams stated she was fine and did not need medical attention. Ms. Williams and her son Timothy Dunn would not let Deputies enter the home. Deputies left and returned on Thursday at 9:30am with a search warrant to further investigate this incident.  When Deputies arrived it was determined that all the animals needed to be removed from the home. Due to the animals extremely dangerous and deplorable living conditions. Ms. Williams was removed from the home and placed with another family member.

There were thirteen animals inside the residence and three outside. They were removed and taken to the county vet to be checked. Deputies arrested 50 yr. old Timothy Dunn for Elder abuse and 16 counts of Animal Cruelty. Dunn was taken to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center.
