Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Deputies were patrolling the area of Anthony Road and Swan Drive, just after 01:00am.,Monday morning. The deputies spotted a tan colored Ford Explorer, without a tag on it. When deputies initiated a traffic stop, the driver and passenger both fled from the vehicle. The driver, 23 year-old Jaylon Amon Patrick was captured after a short foot chase. The passenger was able to get away while Patrick was captured.

Patrick was taken to the Bibb County Jail on the warrant for Felony Escape Before Conviction and Probation Violation. He is being held without out bond at this time.

Detention Center Inmate Fled from Work Detail

A Bibb County Detention Center Inmate fled from a work detail, after a vehicle pulled up to the location and helped the inmate flee, at 5:50p.m. Saturday evening.  It was reported that 22-year- old Jaylon Patrick was working off his community service hours at the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office car wash. It was reported that a light in color Honda Civic pulled up to the car wash just as the detail was about to end. When the vehicle pulled up Patrick ran and jumped in the vehicle and the vehicle sped away.

Patrick was originally in jail for the charges of “Theft By Taking” – (felony) and “Probation Violation Superior Court” and Bond Surrender.  A warrant for the charge of “Escape Before Conviction” is being issued for Patrick.

Patrick is described as a black male with a “small afro” hair style. He is around 6 feet in height and he weighs approximately 170 lbs. He was last seen wearing a neon green shirt, denim jacket and white pants with a blue stripe running down the sides of each leg.
