A Bibb County Sheriff’s Office patrol deputy arrested a suspect trespassing at AG Pro located at 4951 Sheraton Drive.
On July 12, 2023, at 11:28 p.m., the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office responded to the business regarding a report of suspicious activity on the property, after hours. Within minutes the deputy arrived to investigate. An unoccupied vehicle was discovered in front of the business. Upon checking the property, the deputy observed a suspicious male behind a riding lawnmower. The person of interest was detained. After a thorough investigation, it was discovered that the suspicious male had walked onto the property and began removing parts from the riding lawnmower he was found beside.
The suspect was identified as 64-year-old Leonard Lee Jefferson of Macon. Leonard Jefferson had no authorization to be on the property or to tamper with any equipment.
Leonard Lee Jefferson was transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center. He was charged with Criminal Trespass and Criminal Attempt to Commit Theft.
