Bibb County Sheriff’s Office patrol deputies arrested an individual during a “Burglary in Progress” that occurred at 3:22 a.m., Wednesday at the Furniture Queen located at 1685 Shurling Drive, and next door at the Cricket located at 1679 Shurling Drive.

It was reported that as Bibb County Sheriff’s deputies arrived on the scene, they spotted 17-year-old Jordan TyrellJackson inside one of the businesses, and apprehended him without incident.

According to investigators, Jackson was seen on surveillance video entering the Furniture Queen by pulling open the front doors. He then entered Cricket through an adjoining door of the businesses, and attempted to damage surveillance equipment, search through drawers, and steal a cell phone.

Jackson was transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center and charged with (2) counts of 2nd Degree Burglary (Felony).  He currently does not have a bond.
