The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a death that occurred in an alleyway near the intersection of Poplar Street and Second Street. The call came into the Macon-Bibb County E-911 Center at 11:47 a.m., Sunday.
It was reported that a 59-year-old white male was found deceased in the alleyway. Investigators discovered that the male had passed away from a severe head wound.
This investigation is in its preliminary stages. Additional information will be released as soon as it becomes available.
The name of the deceased will not be released until the next of kin has been notified.
The deceased will be taken to the GBI Crime Lab so that an autopsy can be performed.
