The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a death that occurred in the parking lot of 2241 Montpelier Avenue. The incident was reported to the Macon-Bibb E-911 Center at 7:49 pm., Friday evening.
It was reported that 21-year-old Eric Payton Thomas Jr. was found inside his vehicle in the parking lot. Thomas was found to be fatally wounded by gunfire. Thomas was pronounced at the scene by Deputy Coroner Ronnie Miley.
The circumstances surrounding the incident is under investigation. Additional information will be released as soon as it becomes available.
