The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a death that occurred in the 2000 block of Merriwood Drive, at the Walnut Hill Apartments just after 11:30p.m. Friday.
Deputies responded to Merriwood Drive in reference to a person shot. Upon arrival deputies found a 39-year-old male with a single gunshot wound inside of an apartment. The male was pronounced deceased on scene by Deputy Coroner Luann Stone. The name of the victim will be released once the next of kin has been notified. Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Investigators are still determining what lead up to the shooting. Further details will be released once they become available.
