The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a death that occurred in the 800 block of Maynard Street.
The incident was called into the Macon-Bibb E-911 Center on Sunday, at 12:11 a.m. Deputies responded to Maynard Street regarding two females shot. When Deputies arrived on scene it was reported that there was an argument that resulted in a shooting. They were told both women were transported to the hospital by private vehicle for treatment.
Investigators were later advised that 28-year-old Shantoria Hines had succumbed to her injury. She was pronounced deceased by medical staff. The family was notified by Deputy Coroner Lonnie Marley. The second female twenty-six-year-old Kreo Montgomery who also suffered from a gunshot wound, is currently listed in stable condition.
Investigators are working to determine what led up to the incident. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
