The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that happened at 3867 Log Cabin Drive, Green Meadows Apartments, just before 04:00 a.m.
Deputies responded to Green Meadows Apartments regarding a domestic dispute. Upon arrival deputies heard a gunshot in the apartment. When deputies made entry, they found 28-year-old Kaneza Rikial Owens unresponsive. It was reported that Owens and her boyfriend 23-year-old Treyvon Deshun Walker had been arguing when the shooting happened. Walker fled the scene on foot. Owens was transported to Atrium Health where she was later pronounced deceased by staff. Next of Kin has been notified by Coroner Leon Jones. No one else was injured during the incident.
Walker was last seen wearing a black jacket and black shorts, he is believed to be armed and dangerous. The Sheriff’s Office is asking for anyone with information on Walker’s location to contact them. A picture of Walker is attached to this release.
