The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that happened in the 2300 block of Lincoln Street just before 02:00 a.m.
Deputies responded to the 2300 block of Lincoln Street regarding a person shot. Upon arrival deputies found a 47-year-old male in a Saturn Aura unresponsive. The victim was found to have been shot in the chest. He was transported to the Atrium Health when he was pronounced deceased by staff. No one else was injured during the incident. The next of kin has not been notified at this time.
