The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a death that happened near the corner of Cowan Street and Smith Street just before 02:30 a.m.
Deputies responded to a call of a person shot in a vehicle at the intersection of Cowan Street and Smith Street. Upon arrival deputies located a male subject with a gunshot wound and was unresponsive in a pickup truck. The victim was pronounced deceased on the scene. The next of kin has not been notified.
