Bibb County Sheriff’s Investigators responded to a death of a 4-year-old female child that was called in from Ivy Brook Way at around 9:00a.m. Sunday morning. It was reported that the child went to bed Saturday evening, just before 9:00p.m. When the father went to wake his daughter for church, he found her in the bed with the cord from the window blind wrapped around her neck.
According to Coroner Leon Jones, the family and child’s names will not be released until other family members have been notified. An autopsy will be performed by the Medical Examiner’s Office on Monday.
This incident is under investigation. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
