At around 4:30pm the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Coliseum Hospital in reference to a 30 year old female that arrived at the hospital around 11:00am with unknown heavy bleeding. After further examination doctors later discovered that the female identified as Latoya Ivory of Macon, had given birth but arrived at the hospital without a baby. Deputies went to 4323 Napier Ave where they located a female fetus in the trash container behind this location. The fetus was unresponsive.
Ivory has not been charged at this time.
Bibb County Sheriff’s Investigators are looking into the incident. An autopsy is scheduled for Friday to determine the cause of death. No further information is available at this time.
