The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a commercial unarmed robbery that occurred this morning just after11:30AM at the BB&T Bank located at 2010 Second Street. It was reported that a black male entered the lobby of the bank, walked up to a table near the bank teller’s counter. After a few minutes he walked up to the teller counter and asked the bank teller if she could cash a check. The suspect then handed the bank teller a piece of paper, which was a note demanding money. The bank teller gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect then turned and left the bank on foot in an unknown direction.

The suspect is described as a black male with dark skin. He is approximately 5 feet 8 inches in height and weighs 160 to 180 pounds. He was described as wearing a black ball cap, burgundy, multi-colored, buttoned up shirt and blue jeans. His face was described as clean shaven. A picture of the suspect from the banks video surveillance footage is attached to the release.
