The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a commercial robbery that occurred this morning just before 8:00AM at the Family Dollar Store located at 3002 Shurling Drive. It was reported that the store’s employee was leaving the store to go to the bank when an unknown black male approached the employee as the he was about to get into his vehicle which was parked in the parking lot.
The suspect told the employee to get on the ground and he pushed him to the ground. The suspect grabbed the bank bag with the stores deposit which contained an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene on foot. The employee was not injured during the incident. The suspect was described as being 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 9 inches in height and weighing 140 to 150 lbs. He was wearing a mask, dark sweat suit and black shoes.
