The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a robbery by snatching that took place just after 9:00pm. Friday night at the Sonic located at 3837 Mercer University Drive. It was reported that a black male entered the business and approached the manager who was standing near the cash register. The suspect grabbed an undisclosed amount of money out of the hand of the manager and out of the cash register. The suspect fled the store on foot towards the rear of the business.
The suspect is described as having a light complexion, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches in height and weighing about 140 pounds. He was wearing a black overcoat, black hood, dark pants and blue gloves. No one was injured in the incident.
