The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a commercial robbery that occurred this afternoon at around 4:30 p.m. at the State Bank & Trust Company located at 5980 Zebulon Road. It was reported that the suspect, a light skinned black male, walked into the bank to the counter in the lobby and wrote a note. He then walked up to the teller, handing the teller the note demanding money. After the teller complied with the demand note, the suspect walked out of the bank and was reported to have gotten into a early 2000 model dark colored Toyota Corolla, possibly blue. It is unknown as to the direction of travel of the vehicle. No one was injured during the incident.
The suspect was described as being about 6’1” in height with a mustache and beard. He was wearing prescription type glasses. He had on a light colored button up type dress shirt and a dark colored skull cap or doo rag on his head. A picture of the suspect is attached.
