The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a commercial robbery that took place just before 9:00 a.m. this morning at the Preferida Grocery Store, located at 3631 Pio Nono Avenue. It appears that the suspect entered the business through the roof before it opened this morning. The suspect came down through the ceiling as employees were getting prepared to open the store. He demanded money and was given an undisclosed amount of cash from the store. He was last seen running on foot, north on Rice Mill Road. No one was injured during the robbery.
The suspect is described as being a black male, dark-skinned, around 6 feet in height and weighing 160 to 180 pounds. He was wearing a gray hoodie, dark colored pants and shirt. It is unknown at this time if he was armed. Investigators are still on the scene gathering information.
