Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report of a commercial burglary in progress at the Cricket Store located at 1683 Shurling Drive just after 3:00 a.m. Tuesday morning. As Deputy Smathers arrived at the store, he saw a black male run out of the business with a bag in his hand. The deputy chased the suspect on foot a short distance and caught him. The suspect identified as 26 year old Douglas Solomon was interviewed about the incident. Solomon was charged with burglary and was transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center. He has a bond set at $5,700.00 and currently remains in the LEC.
