The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a commercial armed robbery that took place at the Waffle House, located at 4734 Chambers Road. The incident occurred at around 3:50 a.m. Tuesday morning.
Witnesses reported that a male individual entered the restaurant and approached the cash register. He placed a bag on the counter and brandished a handgun. He turned towards the front of the building and fired a single shot through the glass. The male demanded money from the cash registers. Once he received an undisclosed amount of cash, he fled the restaurant on foot, and was last seen running towards Harrison Road. No one was injured during the incident.
The suspect is described as a slender black male wearing a black hoodie, black mask, dark blue pants, and he also had on white gloves. A photograph of the suspect, from the surveillance camera, is attached to this media release.
