The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a report of an armed robbery at Advance Auto Parts at 3230 Mercer University Dr. The incident occurred just before 7:00 P.M. this evening. It was reported that a black male entered the store and selected a car battery and exited the store with clerk who was assisting him. When the suspect got to his black Chevrolet pickup truck he pulled out a handgun pointed it at the clerk and took the battery. The suspect left in his vehicle headed down Mercer University out of town. No one was injured during the incident.
The suspect was described as being around six feet four inches tall and skinny wearing a brown jacket and jeans.
