The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a commercial armed robbery that took place at the Moon’s Wings & Seafood restaurant, located at 4191 Mercer University Drive. The incident took place at around 1:26p.m., on Saturday.
It was reported to investigators that a masked male entered the restaurant, while brandishing a handgun. The store manager fled to the rear of the store as the male entered. The masked male pulled the register from the front counter. The manager returned to the front of the store with a handgun. The manager and male exchanged gunfire. The male fled the store with the register. He was last seen running towards the rear parking lot.
The manager was not injured during this incident. It is unknown at this time if the suspect was injured. There were no customers at the restaurant with the incident occurred.
The male suspect was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black jeans, a “blue jays” baseball cap, white and black shoes, and he also was wearing a mask. The male suspect was described as tall and slender.
