The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a commercial armed robbery that took place this afternoon at Kim’s Fashions and Internet Café located at 5598 Bloomfield Road. It was reported that the two black male suspects entered the business just before 2:30PM.  One suspect, described as having a blue shirt covering his face, wearing black pants and a white shirt, approached the female employee sitting on a couch, pointed a long gun at her and demanded money. The other suspect, described as having a white shirt covering his face, wearing white pants and a black shirt, walked to the back of the store where a customer was at one of the gaming machines. The employee did not move from the couch when the suspect with the gun demanded money the first time. The suspect then went behind the counter and grabbed the cash register, throwing it on the floor in attempts to open it. When the register did not open he went back over to the employee and demanded a second time that she give him the money. As the employee was standing up, the suspect struck the employee in the head with the gun. The employee gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of money and ran out of the store. After the employee ran out of the store, both suspects then fled the store on foot in an unknown direction.

No further information is available on the suspects at the present time. The employee was checked out and treated by EMS at the scene. She did not want to be transported to a hospital.
