The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a commercial armed robbery that took place at the Lucky Bamboo Gift Shop, located at 1747 Shurling Drive. It was reported that at around 8:30p.m., a male suspect entered the business, brandished a gun, and demanded money from the cash register. Male and female clerks were behind the counter at the time of the incident. The suspect demanded that the female clerk hand over her jewelry. The male clerk attempted to fend off the suspect, but was unsuccessful. The suspect fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash and with the clerk’s jewelry. No one was injured during this incident.
The suspect is described as a black male. He was approximately 6 feet in height and he had some facial hair covering his chin. He wore a black hooded sweatshirt. No further description was given at the time of the incident.
