The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an attempted commercial armed robbery that occurred just after midnight, Sunday night, at the Circle K Convenience Store, located at 3802 Northside Drive. It was reported that a black male entered the store, pointed a handgun at the clerk and demanded she give him money. The suspect grabbed the clerk by her clothing, but she was able to get away from him. She grabbed her cellphone and attempted to dial 911 for help. The suspect grabbed the cash register, trying to open the cash drawer. After failed attempts to open the drawer, the suspect fled the store on foot in an unknown direction.
The suspect was described as a black male, wearing what appeared to be an orange ski mask, a dark colored hoodie jacket and blue jean pants. Deputies also discovered that there was a second suspect standing at the door of the store. The second suspect was also described as a black male, dressed in dark clothing and wearing a mask. He was also armed with a handgun. No further information is available on the suspects. The clerk was not injured during the incident.
