The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an attempted commercial armed robbery that occurred just before 10:20 p.m. Tuesday night at the Krystal Restaurant located at 892 Riverside Drive. It was reported that the suspect, a black male, entered the restaurant and demanded the cashier open the cash register and give him the money. The suspect had a towel covering what appeared to be a gun in his hand and pointed it at the cashier. The cashier told the suspect she had no money in the register as she had just removed the money from that register. The suspect walked out of the restaurant and got into what was described as an older model Mercury Marquis. No other information is available on the vehicle at this time. No one was injured during the incident.
The suspect was reported to be 5’10” to 5’11” in height, medium build, medium complexion and wearing glasses. He was wearing a black leather jacket, gray pants and gray shoes and a plastic shopping bag over his head with the face cut out. The cashier reported he was an older male, age unknown.
